SERVICES
We have strong relationships with board certified specialists (internal medicine and orthopedics) who consult with us in clinic as needed. Our team has a special interest in : Senior, Geriatric and palliative care which includes individualized patient plans for pain management and comfort. |
Vaccines and PreventionWe do not believe in the 'one size fits all' theory for vaccines or parasite prevention. We work with you to learn about your pets' lifestyle, medical history and your preferences when it comes to what vaccines and products are necessary for your pets.
|
Individual ApproachThe individual approach best fits our practice philosophy - people and pets are unique. Integrity, respect and old-fashioned service are values that guide all aspects of our veterinary practice.
We are a 4 doctor practice and although your pet might only meet one doctor on their first visit, know that your pet now has a dedicated and committed medical team advocating in his or her best interest for optimum health! |
Dentistry
A tooth may look fine to you but the majority of the tooth sits below the gum line. Our onsite digital dental x-ray allows us to view the pathology under the gum line!
Diagnostic Ultrasound
Ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure that uses sound waves to generate images of organs within the patient's body.
For more information about diagnostic ultrasounds including what to expect if your pet requires one see the attachment below.

Copetown Animal Hospital is a proud member of the
CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF VETERINARY CANNABINOID MEDICINE.
The use of medical cannabis is rapidly growing in human medicine, and similar medical benefits are to be expected with pets as well. Current legislation prohibits the prescription of medical cannabis for pets, including CBD oil. However the growing number of pet owners with legal, medical access to cannabis increases the potential for pets to be exposed to cannabis inadvertently, or medicated by well-intentioned owners. It is important that as we move forward we maintain open communication to discuss not only the potential therapeutic benefits, but also the risks of cannabis use in pets, and continue to encourage more research in this area. We can discuss the current state of knowledge as it pertains to veterinary use, as well as cannabinoid medicine in general.
