In loving memory of our clinic cat EDWIN
Unfortunately sometimes, despite the very best veterinary care, our beloved pets are taken too soon. This was the case for our clinic cat: Edwin. He was diagnosed with renal lymphoma and was unwell for a very brief period before we had to help him peacefully pass on.
In September 2024 he was showered with cuddles and love like never before as we all gathered to say a heartfelt, tear-filled goodbye.
Edwin was a sick, stray kitten when a client rescued him from the streets and as we made him healthy again he endeared us with his antics and naughty kitty ways. Major Tom (our first clinic cat) seemed to like him so CAH became his permanent home.
From 'helping' us unpack our orders, laying on our keyboards, papers, printers and our laps to 'sampling' new bags of foods and stealing our lunches, Edwin became the professional 'annoyance' that we didn't know we needed.
If you've ever received an email with a typo in it, you can thank Edwin. If you ever received a new bag of kibble with bite marks in it for a discounted price, you can thank Edwin.
Everyday we feel the loss of this troublemaker. His very vocal demands, his silly antics and his lunch time cuddles and medicinal purrs helped us all get through each day.
Here's to all of our pets that go through life with us, unknowingly making it that much better.
Give your pets an extra cuddle today, from us - in memory of Edwin.
