FECAL TRANSPLANT PROGRAM
Fecal transplants are being used more commonly in human medicine and more recently it has become a popular treatment option for our pets with chronic or acute unresponsive diarrhea. Fecal transplants involve taking fecal matter from healthy donor pets that have been tested and are free of obvious gastrointestinal disease and using this fecal matter to repopulate the gut of the unhealthy patient with good bacteria.

We are currently looking for cats that meet the following criteria to donate their fecal matter for our program:

We are currently looking for cats that meet the following criteria to donate their fecal matter for our program:
- Healthy cats that are not overweight and have no history of gastrointestinal disease ( no vomiting or diarrhea)
- Cats must be indoors only and ideally getting regular parasite prevention
- Cats must be eating kibble or canned food (no raw fed kitties)
- Must be a current patient at the clinic and up to date on routine care
